Saturday April 16th was a dream come true. We held our first Comedy 4 Cancer live event fundraiser at the Warren Community Center Auditorium. The vision for this event began in September after conversations with Mayor Jim Fouts and Parks and Recreation director Henry Bowman. The city of Warren was not only the perfect host for our event. They went the extra mile in helping to promote it. Even TV Warren got involved filming two pieces to help with promoting the event. But they also went the extra mile when two members of their staff helped us during the show. Thanks to Christie and Nick for all your help with the sound, stage and lighting.

Next I would like to thank Norm Stulz. Not only did Norm headline the show he was responsible for the entire lineup. After the event all the people I spoke with said they had a great time and laughed the night away. So thanks to Norm Stulz, Steve Lind, Tonya Murray and Kate Brindle. You are all very talented and a pleasure to work with.

Thanks to channel 4 news and Lauren Podell for doing a story about our daughter and this event. When I sent out media request WDIV took less than 2 minutes to respond. Finally I would thank all of you that bought tickets to the show. All of you and the comedians created a perfect evening to celebrate our daughters life and help out two families. Each and everyone of you made this night special for a lot of people. It touched all of our hearts to see how much you all cared and wanted to help out.

Comedy 4 Cancer will return on Friday September 30th at the Warren Community Center Auditorium. Doors will open at 7 and showtime is 8:00 pm. Tickets for this event will go on sale Friday July 8th.
